Ariella Loewenstein
Domestic Terrorism, Extremism and Hate Crimes

Ariella Loewenstein is the Deputy Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Los Angeles. In this role, she serves as deputy to the Regional Director in the administration of the office, including office management, staff development and supervision, and oversight of media and communications with various constituencies. She assists in planning, developing, and implementing advocacy initiatives, program activities, and services in the community to advance ADL’s mission within the region. She also coordinates ADL’s campus work and Jewish communal security programs and is one of ADL’s Regional Operations Law Enforcement contacts, maintaining relationships with key law enforcement professionals and providing training seminars on domestic terrorism, extremism, and hate crimes.

Prior joining ADL, Ms. Loewenstein worked in the Jewish community for five years at the Jewish Free Loan Association as a program coordinator and loan analyst. She has a master’s degree in public policy from USC and a bachelor’s in political science/international relations. She is a graduate of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Citizens’ Academies and is a FBI Infragard Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO).

Ms. Loewenstein received her certificate of mediation from the Center for Conflict Resolution at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She recently was awarded ADL’s prestigious 2017 Senn/Greenberg Award.
