Get started
The PLUS Program is offered through Protect Connect Educate, the safe school climate network for K-12 schools. A school that gets started receives three things that work together: the PLUS Program, Direction and professional development. Each month, students use the survey and a student-led Forum to learn what their peers are experiencing, then lead activities that respond to it.

Getting started takes three steps. Your school identifies the staff who will carry the work, chooses the level that fits how it will run PLUS, and attends a training. Each step is described below.
Identify your PLUS staff
PLUS is managed by a staff team at your site, because student voice changes a campus only when adults are ready to act on it. The students gather the information, and these three staff members make sure it reaches the people and the plans it should.
If your school attends a 2-Day training, we recommend that this team of three attends together. Your site leaves with shared roles and a launch plan.
Choose your level
Schools come to PLUS with different amounts of time. Some have room in the master schedule for a year-long class, and some want to hear from their students but cannot add a course. Districts often want every site working from the same model. The three options below are built for those situations.
Student Voice Forum
Powered by PLUS
For the ASB, leadership class or club you already run. Your students lead a Student Voice Forum, Direction shows what their peers are experiencing, and your school acts on the results. No class period is required.

The comprehensive model
For a school that will run PLUS as a year-long leadership course. A trained student team runs a 30-day cycle of survey, Forum, action plan and report, every month of the school year.
PLUS Program pricingPLUS Districtwide
The district model
For a district with five or more sites. Each site runs PLUS, the district office sees results across all sites, and training takes place at your district office.

Every level begins with training, and how your school trains depends on the level it chooses. PLUS Program schools send their staff team to a 2-Day PLUS Program Development Training, which is included in the first year for a team of up to four.
Trainings are held regionally throughout the year. Look for a training in your area.
Districts host the training at their district office. Student Voice Forum schools attend the one-day Student Voice Forum Training, or bring a trainer to their campus.
