On-site training for your district
For districts with five or more sites. A trainer comes to your district office, so staff from every site train together and your teams do not travel.
A typical first year
A district rollout is spread across the year so the training matches where your schools are. Sites begin with the two days every PLUS Program team completes. The trainer then returns as schools gather their first data and plan their first activities, so the follow-up days work with results from your own campuses.
The same two days every PLUS Program team completes, held at your district.
Working with your sites on Direction and the data it returns.
Working with your sites on the activities that respond to the data.
A follow-up day with your site teams.
This is a typical schedule. Student leadership training is optional and is sized to your rollout.
2-Day training agenda
The first two days follow the same agenda as the regional 2-Day PLUS Program Development Training. Staff from every site attend together at your district office.
Day OneFrom the foundations to the PLUS Forum
Participants complete a short survey that is used later in the day.
Information to Action, the school as an ecosystem, and the 30-Day Cycle.
The roles of the administrator, the PLUS Advisor and the students. Selecting a student team that represents the campus. Naming your campus partners.
The evidence base behind PLUS and the 6 Pillars.
The two forms of data a PLUS team collects, and how they are read together.
Participants take part in a Forum the way students experience it.
Day TwoFrom the data to schoolwide action
Building a survey, reading the results and identifying the need.
Turning Forum findings and survey results into a priority, planning activities that respond to it, and measuring the result.
Sharing results with the campus. Student-led activities, schoolwide projects and community service projects.
The curriculum, the online tools and the year ahead for your PLUS class or club.
Your team leaves with a plan to launch PLUS at your site.
Times may shift slightly by location.
